The People’s Bout, 90” x 88”, Acrylic, Oil Marker, and Graphite on Paper, 2025
This piece shows a lone figure at a bar while a television behind the counter broadcasts the 2024 fight between Jake Paul and Mike Tyson. It is enlarged to fill the viewer’s field of vision but sketched in graphite, allowing the spectacle of combat to dissolve into a reflection on violence, consumption, and the rituals of spectatorship.

Moloch, 90” x 66”, Acrylic and Oil Marker on Paper, Fabricated Steel Staples
This piece portrays the Marlboro Man. The gloss of advertising has been stripped away, yet the cowboy’s westward gaze is recognizable. He is lighting a cigarette and the fire is consuming him. The title, “Moloch”, references the deity historically associated with sacrifice, and troubles the boundary between the offering and the demand. Ritualized freedom is purchased by the pack, but who pays the price—the body, the land, or the nation that consumes the image?
